Frequently Asked Questions

What is a teacup puppy?
A “teacup puppy” refers to a dog that is smaller than the standard size for its breed. At Betty’s Teacup Puppies, our puppies typically weigh between 1.5 to 3 pounds when fully grown. These petite companions are cherished for their compact size and endearing appearance.

Are teacup puppies healthy? While teacup puppies are generally healthy, their small size requires attentive care. They are more delicate and may be prone to certain health issues, such as hypoglycemia and fragile bones . At Betty’s Teacup Puppies, all our puppies undergo thorough health examinations by certified veterinarians before joining their new families, ensuring they are in optimal health.

What is the average lifespan of a teacup or toy-sized dog? With proper care, teacup and toy-sized dogs can live between 12 to 15 years . Their longevity is comparable to, and sometimes exceeds, that of larger dog breeds.

How much do your puppies cost? Our puppies are individually priced based on factors such as breed, size, gender, and overall quality. Prices typically start at $3,800, excluding shipping or nanny delivery fees. Shipping costs vary depending on your location.

Where do your puppies come from? We collaborate with a select group of licensed breeders in South Korea who have a proven track record of producing healthy, exceptionally small puppies. We do not engage with puppy mills and ensure all our breeders meet our stringent standards for animal welfare and quality.

How old are your puppies when they are ready for adoption? Our puppies are typically at least 3 months old before they are ready to join their new homes. This allows adequate time for them to develop proper eating habits, social skills, and to ensure they are well-prepared for the transition.
